How can professional architects and project managers reduce the amount of carbon ‘the built environment’ uses? ARUP's insightful presentation highlighted some really important lessons. We are excited to continue working with this group of like-minded professionals to reduce the life cycle carbon of architecture. 🏡💚 #Sustainability #ArchitecturalInnovation #CarbonReduction"

One of our core values as a chartered architects practice is to continually learn about innovation and sustainability. This week we have been looking at the embodied energy and recyclability of buildings at the end of their life. Zinc is not a new building material and has been used vastly in Paris since the 1800’s, however modern design can utilise this material as part of a strategy for reducing our carbon footprint. Zinc cladding can be recycled at the end of its lifecycle and reused for other purposes including being part of the mix of new zinc cladding.
