At JLK architects we believe research, educational visits and exposure to new ideas is the way to keep our designs fresh and relevant to our clients. This week we joined the Urban Design Group on their guided tour of Birmingham to see how a local city is addressing planning issues and mixing modern buildings with traditional ones.

Our conservation architects have been designing sympathetic additions to a residential Victorian building in Nottinghamshire. We have referenced the Victorian detailing in a contemporary way resulting in a harmonious addition.
Our team of architects gave a facelift to this 1930’s Nottinghamshire warehouse to make it fit for its new use as a retail and leisure venue. Using the existing structure and re-dressing the front elevation resulted in less waste materials going to landfill in comparison to creating a new building while still upgrading the kerb appeal of the existing building.
Our Nottingham architects visited the ‘Homebuilding and Renovating Show’ at the NEC this week to find inspiring and sustainable products for our Eco house clients. We are excited to share our finds!
Welcome to Lovelace Court. This beautiful disused old building has been given lots of love and transformed into a high quality HMO in Hucknall. #architects #nottinghamarchitects #hmoproperty
Sometimes it's necessary to have a biscuit (or 3) with a nice cup of tea. This surprise arrived today from a very lovely (and happy) client. We love what we do at JLK Architectural Design and it's our pleasure to help you achieve your vision!
We are very excited to incorporate modern sustainable technology into one of our newly designed eco houses in Nottinghamshire.
